Our mission is to provide competitive baseball experiences for Bellevue West youths between the ages of 12-16. We provide the baseball youth of our community an experience that promotes sportsmanship, instruction, teamwork, respect for, and enjoyment of the game of baseball.
Our Teams Will
- Play a regular season in a competitive league
- Participate in 3-5 tournaments including at least one “out of area”
- Participate in a structured indoor winter training program
Our Coaches Will
- Exhibit good sportsmanship on and off the field
- Create a positive culture of team success
- Have previous baseball experience of at least college level
- Balance player development goals with competitive goals
- Strive for all players to play a significant amount of the proportionate playing time available
- Not be a parent of a player on the team that they coach
- Be fairly paid by the club
Our Players Will
- Recognize that baseball comes after family, schoolwork, and being a good community citizen
- Exhibit good sportsmanship on and off the field
- Respect all players on the team
- Communicate issues including playing time concerns personally with the coaches at appropriate times!
- Participate in winter training when they are not participating in other sports
Our Parents Will
- Allow players to be the primary source of communications with coaches!! A parent’s primary communications should be with the team manager.
- Support coaches with playing time decisions
- Positively support all players on the team
- Offer to support the club in various volunteer opportunities
- Promptly pay club dues
- Complete a year end survey to assist in BBC program evolution
Our Organization Will
- Create an environment to learn and play baseball while having fun
- Provide scholarship opportunities for players in need
- Organize a club-wide winter training program of 1-2 days/week from November through February
- Provide coaches that subscribe to the mission of the club
- Provide administrative infrastructure sufficient to allow coaches to coach
